We've had a great few weeks here in Canada. The summer weather has been beautiful and it has been nice to slow down and stay home for a few weeks after so much travel. I haven't been taking too many photos, but the one below was taken after I received an email that my cousin Alyssa got engaged to her boyfriend Eric, who will be a wonderful addition to the family. I literally screamed out loud when I read the email, which led to Allie running around the house cheering and clapping. I love her enthusiasm! Here she is clapping her excitement.
By far, Allie's favorite pastime is reading books (just like her mommy!). We literally read a hundred books almost every day. As a result, Allie has most of her books memorized, so she can "read" to herself. If I'm working on something, she likes to drag a stack of books to some random place in the house and read. Below she's reading in my closet (please excuse the shoe mess, she also likes to try on ALL of my shoes!). Below is my little bookworm!
