We've had a great time around here lately. We've had some hope of spring, but mostly we seem stuck in the eternal winter. We were able to sneak away from the frozen tundra for a week in Sanibel with my parents, which was amazing and perfect timing! Here is the update:
Allie loves to play school. Here she is teaching some of her dolls.
Allie is OBSESSED with the movie Frozen. We've watched it countless time and we sing along to the soundtrack every single day! Here she is twirling in her "Elsa" dress while singing. It is pretty cute.
One day while we were cleaning Allie's room we noticed four deer running down the street. Poor deer couldn't get into the woods because the snow bank was too high for them to jump. It isn't a great picture because I had to snap the photo so quickly, and the screen was in the way, but you can still see them. This is just another sign winter has gone on way too long.
A photo of Allie next to the snow bank in our driveway. Please note that about a week later we got another 8-10 inches of snow. Ridiculous.
The snow has been annoying, but it sure is pretty.
My little peanut is really cute when she chooses to eat.
Unfortunately she doesn't eat enough, which is why at 11.5 months she still weighs exactly what she weighed at 9 months...16 pounds 10 oz. She usually does this when I try to feed her. (It might take a second for the video to load).
Sweet Bella guarding our house from the comfort of our bed!
Trying on swim suits for Florida.
A sneak attack on poor, sleeping Bella.
She is just too cute!
Best buds.
Ahhhh, paradise!
All ready for the pool!
We took a golf cart tour of the golf course. In addition to this guy, we saw two turtles and a bunch of birds. It was a beautiful way to see the course and some wildlife.
Cammie's Florida hair style...due to the sunblock in her hair.
We went to a Twins game in Fort Meyers. Allie did not have the best time because she was way too hot, but once I took her up to the shade and bought her some cotton candy, her mood dramatically improved.
Poppy and Allie made ice cream.
Aunt Ellen dropped off Taylor's old bike, which provided Allie many mornings of fun.
I love how Cammie is looking at Allie in this photo.
This was Cammie's facial expression when her toes touched grass for the first time.
Cammie was not happy that her ice cream ran out before Allie's.
Cammie's first swing ride.
On one of the last nights my mom, Allie and I went shelling so she could pick out shells for her classmates. It was so fun!
Love these two!
Our only family photo from our trip. Not great, but at least it proves we were all there together.
Thanks for a wonderful vacation mom and dad!
Upon returning to Minnesota we were hit with another snow storm. I had to buy myself some flowers to cheer me up.
A few days after returning from FL (where Allie spent almost all day, every day in the pool), she promptly tested out of her swim class level (on the first day of class) and moved up to the next level. I had to pick my jaw up from the ground when I saw her swim with no life jacket, or power pack. Just five weeks prior she would hardly put her face in the water. It was pretty exciting!
Last week our American friends that lived up in Saskatoon with us were flying through the airport. They had a layover, so I took the girls out to hang out with them a bit. It was so fun to see old friends and we wish them the best in their new home in Illinois!
One of my all time favorite pictures of Cammie. Could she be any cuter?
Yesterday Allie and I went shopping for some new shoes and she had to try on the hat and sunglasses. Love her style!
